Khiladi 786 is a Bollywood Action Comedy film directed by Ashish R Mohan, featuring Akshay Kumar in the title role alongside Asin Thottumkal playing the female lead. The film also features Mithun Chakraborty, Raj Babbar, Manoj Joshi and Himesh Reshammiya. German model Claudia Ciesla appears in an item number Balma and the film is narrated by Paresh Rawal. It is produced by Eros International, HR Musik Limited and Hari Om Entertainment. The film marks the return of Akshay Kumar to his famous Khiladi film series after 12 years. It is the eighth installment in the Khiladi (Film Series) after Khiladi (1992), Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994), Sabse Bada Khiladi (1995), Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi (1996), Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi (1997), International Khiladi (1999) and Khiladi 420 (2000) with those 8 films Khiladi is considered as the biggest franchise of Bollywood. Born to an owner of a marriage bureau Champak Lal (Manoj_Joshi_(actor)), Mansukh (Himesh Reshammiya) has been a complete failure ever since he has grown up and tried to help his father in their family business. All the alliances he had tried to get done have resulted in separation even before the marriage took place. To prove his worth to his father, he takes up an unusual challenge of getting an underworld don Tatya Tukaram Tendulkar's (Mithun Chakraborty), spoilt brat sister Indu (Asin Thottumkal) getting married to a cop called Bahattar Singh (Akshay Kumar) aka Khiladi 786 in Punjab. To add more to his problems, he convinces Tatya to pretend to be a cop but little did the over enthusiast know that Bahattar Singh, his father Sattar Singh (Raj Babbar) and his uncle Ikhattar Singh (Mukesh Rishi) were not cops but a family of conmen.
The story takes a shape as the two hardcore families of two different states pretend to be policemen in front of each other and the beans from each side can be spilled anytime which can be life threatening for Mansukh. And to make the situation worse, it turns out that Indu has a boyfriend, Azad (Rahul Singh), who is a criminal locked up in jail. When Bahattar finds that out, he helps Azad escape from jail to make Indu happy, the girl who he loves. But no sooner does Indu realize that she truly loves Bahattar, and decides to marry him. To take revenge, Azad kidnaps Indu and the Pandit from the Wedding ceremony. Bahattar and Tatya fight their way through the goons and eventually Bahattar and Indu get married.
